QA Manager/Lead

CTS is currently interviewing for a direct/perm role with one of our local, long-time clients.  This position is for a QA Lead/Manager with automated testing experience.  Previous experience with tools like Selenium, JIRA, Zephyr or Eclipse are a plus.  In this position the Lead/Manager will oversee 2-4 on-site testers as well as a team of up to 10 off-shore testers.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Executes manual & automated test cases and regresses bugs. 
  2. Creates test plans from a technical design document and/or requirements document
  3. Troubleshoots issues
  4. Develops (reusable) automation or testing tools
  5. Assists in the review of test plans from QA members. 
  6. Assists in the code review of other team members. 
  7. Provides reliable and accurate task estimates for assigned work with review from a Senior Engineers. 
  8. Is competent in concepts of Quality Assurance and software development, Agile and Test Driven Development 
  9. Assists in the review of technical documentation by working closing with Development & Product teams. 
  10. Effectively reuses existing automation or testing tools and creates both when needed. 
  11. Contributes to engineering domain design discussions and to test strategy creation as requested. 
  12. Has 5-7 years of professional QA engineering experience with a solid automation background. 
  13. Has knowledge of programming languages (REST and/ API,  Web Services)/tools/skillsets
  14. Proficient at coding in one or more of the following Java, PHP, Groovy, C# or Ruby and using the following tools (SoapUI, Postman, Selenium, JIRA, Zephyr or Eclipse IDE) '
  15. Has  working knowledge of SQL (MySQL), Linux/Unix  
  16. Experience with Java and J2EE application development, DevOps best practices, working in a Cloud Environment 
  17. Expert level skills in Object-Oriented software design
